Svava Kim is a great tutor because she listened to my targets and was very happy to go over parts I struggled with and wouldn’t let em get away with just doing easy stuff. I had 3 German autos over about 5 years and Svava Kim was the best one. 10/10.

After starting a new job, I realised that I needed to refresh and improve the German I'd learned at school, so I contacted Svava. I’ve been taking classes with Svava for the past three years, and during this time, I’ve made significant progress. I appreciate her passion for teaching and the enthusiasm she brings to every lesson. Svava’s personalised approach helps me to correct my weak points and build my confidence. Thanks to her, I’ve gained both the skills and the motivation to continue improving.

I decided to learn German with the goal to move to Germany to live and work within the next 3 to 5 years. I have a high level, specialised job in the UK so need to achieve at the very least B2 level German – I came to Svava speaking next to no German whatsoever. Svava has now been my teacher for 9 months, we have had one or two lessons per week fitted to my work schedule (54 lessons in total) and I am currently working to complete level A1.2.

Svava is a remarkably astute and fastidious academic professional, she was able to discern my language and learning needs very quickly.

Since our first lesson, she has personally tailored my Deutsch course and continues to do so, so that the guided syllabus addresses my learning needs as well as my questions and curiosities in a structured manner. She is a very motivated, passionate teacher who is always happy to discuss and explore the nuances of the language and grammar further. We have even had lessons dedicated to understanding regional differences in Deutsch;

accents, culture and inflexions. Svava will not simply take you through a text book, but uses an array of learning portals, tools and resources to build your knowledge of the language. On top of this she has recommend a multitude of other resources (websites, books, magazines) to support my learning in my own time. It is a pleasure to have a teacher with genuine passion for language, I would absolutely recommend Svava if you’re looking to learn a language and have fun in the process.

I really enjoyed our classes and I think I finally started to slowly get my German back. Although it is still not as good as before. 

I really enjoyed them as sometimes the exercises were relatively easy but sometimes they were harder than my level which pushed me to work harder which is good. I have recently purchased the second book you have recommended so I will try to work on it on my own until we can start again together. 

I believe B1 was too easy for me, however I need to work on my vocabulary, as this is what seems to be lacking as well. Maybe when we start again we could work on B2 for the moment. It is very hard to say what I dislike because I really enjoyed the classes and I think they were useful. I appreciate the changes between speaking, exercises, etc. It was a very well taught class.
